Tires cabrio cable car – a unique ascent into the Dolomites

Since 2022, a 3.8 km long new cable car with 60 seats connects the Tiers Valley with the Rosengarten. From St. Zyprian, you can reach Frommer Alm in the Carezza Dolomites ski area and the Rosengarten hiking area in just 7 minutes. The elevation difference is 644 meters.

A special highlight is the roof terrace on the cable car, which can accommodate 10 people and makes the ride an unforgettable experience. It is Italy’s first cable car of this kind. From Frommer Alm, the König Laurin Cable Car takes you to the underground mountain station at the Kölner Hütte, entering the realm of King Laurin.

Under the motto “less is more – nothing is better,” renowned South Tyrolean architect Werner Tscholl gently integrated the valley and mountain stations into the stunning landscape beneath the Rosengarten. The stations are mostly underground in the meadows, with only the entrances and exits visible.

The summer opening of the Tschein chairlift also opens up a new tour at the foot of the Rosengarten: from Tiers, you can reach Lake Carezza and return car-free within a few minutes by combining lifts and walking. The new lift connections also enhance access to hiking trails from Tiers, especially towards Haniger Schwaige.
